Machame Route 6 days 5 nights

Machame route is regarded as the most scenic of the trails up Kilimanjaro. You ascend gradually through the forest till you emerge onto the Moorland of Shira Plateau, from which there are superb views of the Kibo Peak and the Great Western Breach. Travellers through Machame rout

Day 1: Transfer from your hotel to the Machame gate.Frm here you trek through the lush forest to Machame Hut (10,000ft/3000m) Stay /Camp/overnight

DAY 2:
Machame camp (2980m) - Shira camp (3840m)
 Leave the forest. The path follows a steep ridge passing through open moorlands crossing a large gorge to reach Shira hut. Overnight stay at the camp

DAY 4:
Shira (3840m)-Lava Tower (4630m)-Barranco camp (3950m)
You turn Eastwards and continue ascending through the dry landscape before dropping again to reach Barranco hut . Overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 5:
Barranco camp (3950m)- Barafu camp (4550m)
 The path climbs steep out of the Barranco valley and crosses the Karanga valley, then turns North to reach Barafu Hut . Overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 6:
Barafu camp (4550m)-Uhuru Peak (5895m)-Mweka (3100m)
Along day with an early start to reach the crater, ream at the Stella point in time for sunrise, then to Uhuru peak , the highest point in Africa. After wards, descend to Gilman's point and down to Horombo hut.  Over night, stay at the camp

DAY 7:
Descend down passing Mandara hut to the gate where you are transferred back to your hotel in Moshi for dinner and over night.

DAY 8: After breakfast board shuttle bus from your hotel and proceed to Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon (6.30 PM)

Any additional day is US$220

The price is inclusive of:-
2 transfers from Moshi to Machame park gate -return
3 meals per day while trekking - Vegetarian/Non-Vegetarian
6 days Kilimanjaro trek- Machame
5 nights accomodation in camps while trekking Machame
First and Last night accommodation at YMCA/Buffalo hotelMoshi -Bed and Breakfast.
All park entrance fees and government levies
English speaking mountain Guide and assistant guides

The Price does not include:
